8th – 10th September 2026
The program will take place on the 8th – 10th September. Hence the arrival and departure dates are 7 th & 11 th of September.

The price
The participation fee will be 1500 DKK/200 EUR

Accommodation
The hotel is called KG (in Danish Klaksvík is called KlaksviG and the fishing boats therefor have KG on their side as their registration letters) and it’s brand new. Actually, it hasn’t opened yet…

The hotel has a promo code/avsláttarkota (DVAFO26) which can be used within the dates 07 th – 11 th September. The code gives a reduced price of 20% of the daily rate. Please have a look at the document below to see, where to put in the promotion code at hotel www.kghotel.fo

There will be busses between Klaksvík and Eysturkommuna according to the schedule. The busses are a part of the program and are for free. The ride takes about 15 min.

! Please note that demand for accommodation is very high and therefor I advise you to book your accommodation before the end of May. It’s possible to book accommodation at the hotel and cancel the reservation until 48 hours before planned arrival without any extra costs.

Flights
The airport on the Faroe Islands lies on the island Vágar, hence the name Vága airport/floghavn and the IATA code is FAE.
The local airline company Atlantic Airways/Atlantsflog has connection between several bigger cities in Northern Europe like Barcelona, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Oslo, Paris and Reykjavík. Besides this, Copenhagen is a very good connection airport when travelling to the Faroes.

Local transportation
From the airport you will need to get individual transportation to the island of Borðoy, to the town of Klaksvík. In Klaksvík the hotel which will accommodate you is located.

When leaving from the airport there are two different options – but both have to be pre-booked. Either you can book a seat in a shared taxi leaving for Klaksvík. This costs 450 dkr. Or you can book a whole taxi which could be fine, if you are several people travelling together, or if you know of others arriving at the same time as you. This costs 1500 dkr. for four setas (regardless of whether the seats will be taken or not).

In both cases the taxi drivers will stand outside the airport, in a transparent tunnel with your names on a board. Might sound difficult to figure out, but it’s easy once you’re there.

It takes about 1,5 hour to drive from the airport to Klaksvík, depending on whether you will go directly or if you will have to stop in various villages on the way.

General information
There’s a lot of rain and wind up here, so please bring suitable gear for being outside most of the time. We will also do a walk/hike one of the ways.

! Because of limeted indoor capacity the maximum number of participants is 30.
